Our current church environment, taking its cues from the surrounding culture, is increasingly valuing doubt over faith, uncertainty over conviction, and an arrogant vagueness over a humble confidence in matters of biblical teaching. This perspective is actually at odds with the life and teaching of Jesus and his disciples. What a person believes – about God, about humanity, about the Bible, and about salvation – is of utmost importance to Christ. This series – “The Statement: What We Believe and Why We Believe It” – examines our church’s Statement of Faith and Confession and is a foundational series for the biblical beliefs of Redeemer Bible Church.
